My journey as an artist is an ongoing pursuit of connection. I want to create emotional, physical, and virtual spaces where people feel less alone. Coming from a background in architecture, Design and voluntary community work and later completing a master’s in fine art focused on expanded scenography, my practice sits between disciplines and continues to evolve. I am interested in the investigation of identity, healing, the notion of home, and collective memory, and my work is rooted in both personal and political histories. At its core, it is driven by a need to understand healing, not only as something individual, but as something shared, collective and social.
In my practice, I work with video, cinema, screens in space, and installation to create immersive experiences. I am especially drawn to non-linear storytelling and to the quiet moments we often overlook. My process is one of gathering, reflecting, making, and remaking through interviews, video, soundscapes, text, and shared rituals. I am deeply invested in documenting small moments of everyday life. Emotions, pauses, boredom, tenderness, and frustration. These moments reveal our shared humanity and remind us of the beauty that exists in the ordinary.
While working within collectives has been creatively and socially fulfilling, I’ve come to understand the importance of developing my own artistic voice alongside collaborative work. There is a need for space, mental, physical, and emotional, to fully explore what I want to say, how I want to say it, and what kind of work I want to build over time.
I am particularly interested in documenting emotions as a form of live archiving. Capturing moments of history through how people experience them, rather than through facts alone. I believe our shared emotional experiences are what unify us and what make us human. Through expanded cinema, video work, and installations, I want to explore how screens and materials affect emotional and tactile responses, and how film can function as a space for reflection, projection, and connection.
My goal is not to provide answers or solutions, but to invite people to stay with the complexity of being human. To sit with it, witness it, and share it together. In this ongoing journey, I remain open to experimentation, exchange, and growth, allowing my practice to unfold through curiosity, listening, and making.
